BaSE-II: A Robust and Experimental Galileo PRS Receiver Development Platform
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper features an experimental Galileo PRS receiver with a novel BOC tracking method and interference mitigation algorithms in time, frequency and spatial domain. The modified BaSE-II hardware architecture is outlined including a newly designed miniaturized 2x2 array antenna. A new, reliable and robust BOC tracking method is presented that fully exploits the subcarrier accuracy and allows reliable, fast and robust detection and correction of false locks to side peaks. Finally the implemented interference mitigation techniques are described with keeping the special PRS requirements in mind.

BaSE: Development of a Galileo PRS Receiver
The paper presents the hardware architecture of the Galileo PRS receiver developed within the BaSE project, and describes the core technologies required for using the Galileo PRS service. The approaches for increasing the robustness against radio frequency interference by using single sideband tracking techniques, adaptive notch filtering and pulse blanking are described. The potential of utili...
متن کاملA Dual-frequency L1/E5a Galileo Test Receiver
The date is fast approaching for the first Galileo signals to be broadcast from space. In anticipation of this event, NovAtel has undertaken various Galileo related projects over the past three years. Projects have included sample level software simulations sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA) and a single frequency BOC(1,1) receiver prototype sponsored by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA...
متن کاملReal Time Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring in DLR's Multi-Antenna GNSS Receiver
The present paper introduces a real-time implementation of Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (ARAIM) implemented in DLR’s array antenna receiver “GALANT”. The receiver is capable of tracking multiple frequency measurements both from GPS and Galileo signals. The position, velocity and time (PVT) unit and the MultiHypothesis Solution Separation (MHSS) based ARAIM unit are closely ...
متن کاملA Software-Defined GPS and Galileo Receiver: Single-Frequency Approach
We discuss GPS receiver architectures based on software defined radio techniques. The reason for doing this is to obtain a reconfigurable receiver with a wide range of applications. There is a need for a unified platform that will allow receiver development and testing for various applications; this speeds the design process and reduces the costs. With the current functionality of the GPS const...
متن کاملBenefits of using lower chip rates for Galileo OS and PRS signals
Recent GNSS-related agreements have selected the chip rates for Galileo signals to be 1.023 MHz for Open Services (OS) and 2.5575 MHz for Publicly Regulated Services (PRS), respectively. For future developments of the satellite navigation systems, it might be however of importance to understand better the impact of the chip rate on the system properties. The purpose of this paper is to analyze ...
